In 1968, founder of Knotts Knives By Cousins LLC Cheston Knotts, an avid hobbyist and skilled craftsman, became interested in carving. As his skills developed, he noticed the old pocketknife he was using wasn't very comfortable.
He developed his own tools in shapes and styles both pleasing to the eye and functional. That's the moment when the Basics Collection started it all.
